I’m a wife, mom, writer, reader, teacher, and birder, among other things.

I was first trained as a coach while teaching at an education company where I took on the role of tutoring high school seniors writing their college application essays. I found joy and a passion for hearing students’ stories and helping them shape their words into compelling compositions, and coaching seniors remains one of my favorite things to do.

In addition to essay and application coaching, I work as a high school college & career teacher and academic advisor for upperclassmen.  I’m also the mom of two boys currently in college, so I’ve been through the college application process from the parent side recently, too.

I earned my second coaching certification from a publishing company in 2024, and I’m excited to be working with authors writing all kinds of books.

A graduate of Duke University, I have work experience in a wide range of settings from non-profits to science labs to government contracts to educational classrooms, all of which involved writing in one form or another. I’m a published author of faith-based devotionals and the aspiring author of a couple of works-in-progress. I’ll be writing alongside you!
